Expert Tennis Court Resurfacing & Restoration

What is the best way to resurface a cracked tennis court?

A worn or cracked court affects both safety and game quality. Unlike general contractors who use a "patch and paint" approach, we diagnose the root cause of the wear to recommend the right long-term solution.

Option 1: Modular Sport Tile Overlays (Best for Durability)

Ideal for: Courts with structural cracks, root intrusion, or older slabs. Our modular system is the lowest-maintenance surface available. It floats over the existing slab, bridging cracks so they never telegraph through to the surface.

    • Benefits: Shock absorption (easier on joints), instant drainage (play immediately after rain), and a 15+ year lifespan.

Option 2: Cushioned Mat Systems (Best for Performance)

Ideal for: Players seeking a professional, club-level feel with injury protection. We install ProCushion™ and CushionX™ systems. These multi-layer rubberized coatings provide substantial force reduction, protecting knees and ankles from the harsh impact of asphalt or concrete.

    • Benefits: True ball bounce, significant fatigue reduction, and a premium seamless appearance.

Option 3: Acrylic Hard Court Surfacing (Best for Budget)

Ideal for: Structurally sound courts that just need a color refresh. We use tournament-grade acrylic coatings (Laykold, Nova, SportMaster) to restore vibrant color and consistent texture.

Note: This is purely cosmetic. If your court has structural cracks, we recommend Option 1 or 2.

Upgrade your game with our cushioned tennis court surfaces, designed to reduce joint impact and extend playing time.

These courts had over 10,000 linear feet of cracking in the asphalt. The City was going to demolish the entire project and start from scratch. When we presented an option to salvage the existing asphalt, treat all the cracks, and then overlay the asphalt with a modular performance (tile) playing surface, this not only saved them hundreds of thousands of dollars, but also extended the life of these courts by another 25-30 years. Meanwhile, we were able to reconfigure the space so that there was basketball, tennis, and pickleball lines in the same area that previously just had lines for tennis. What a win!

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)

Q: How much does it cost to build a tennis court in Northern California?

A: Costs vary based on excavation needs, access, and surface choice. However, a fully engineered post-tension court generally starts in the mid-to-high five-figure range. Contact us for a site-specific estimate.

Q: Can you fix a tennis court with large cracks?

A: Yes. "Patching" large cracks rarely lasts. We recommend a Bridge Overlay using modular tiles or a slip-sheet cushioned system. These methods cover the cracks and prevent them from returning, saving you money on repetitive repairs.

Q: Do you service Nevada?

A: Yes, we actively build and resurface courts in Reno, Sparks, Lake Tahoe, and Truckee, utilizing specific engineering standards for high-altitude and freeze-thaw cycles.

What Our Customers Say About Us:

“When an agent secures a listing on a home with a Game Court in it, I know they will have a much easier time finding a buyer for that house than a similar home with a swimming pool.”

- J.B. Goodwin, CEO/Broker, JBGoodwin Company

“I wanted to let you know how much we love our Game Court. At least one of our three kids uses it every day. I promise I'm not exaggerating – we use it every day.”

- Cindy and Lamar Slay

“The first night the court was completed, our entire family had a blast playing tennis and basketball and we realized how much 'together time' we had been missing.”

- Mac Pfeiffer

“My ability to continue to play through the joint pain, after so many years on concrete, was reaching the point of no return. Game Court gave me a second chance; and I am able even now at 65 to play two hours with no problems of any kind.”

- Howard Rubin

“I am writing to tell you how much our Game Court has meant to my family over the 14 years that we have had it. I have two boys, who early on, used the Game Court to learn to ride tricycles and bikes because we live on a steep hill and this provided the only flat surface. They learned to hit the baseball off a tee and to catch. Eventually, they learned to shoot baskets. They each have been excellent three-point shooters attributable solely to many hours they spent on the court.”

- Donde L. Plowman
