What Premium Surfacing Options Are There?

Your surface determines safety and performance. We offer top-tier options to match your budget and playing style.

  1. Sport Court® Modular Tile Systems (Most Popular)

Best for: Safety, durability, and low maintenance. This suspended tile surface floats over the concrete base, providing significant advantages over bare pavement:

    • Shock Absorption: Reduces impact on knees and ankles, allowing for longer, safer play.
    • Cooler Surface: Tiles do not absorb heat like asphalt or concrete.
    • Instant Drainage: Water flows through the open-grid design, making the court playable minutes after rain.
    • Customization: Available in varying colors with custom logos and game lines.
  1. Cushioned Acrylic Basketball Court

Best for: Traditional hard-court feel. For players who prefer the bounce and response of a traditional club court, we offer multi-layer cushioned acrylic systems. These provide a smooth, non-slip texture that looks professional and plays consistent.

  1. Reinforced Concrete (The Foundation)

Every great court starts with a great base. We utilize a post-tension concrete basketball court foundation to ensure your court remains flat and crack-free, providing the perfect sub-base for whichever surface you choose.

Professional Hoop Systems & Accessories

A court isn't complete without the right gear. We supply and install:

  • Adjustable Hoops: Tempered glass backboards (60" to 72") with breakaway rims, fully adjustable for players of all ages.
  • Court Lighting: High-efficiency LED or Solar lighting packages to extend play into the evening.
  • Containment: Soft-fence netting systems to keep the ball in play and protect your landscaping.
  • Multi-Sport Versatility: Add markings for pickleball, volleyball, or futsal to maximize your backyard's utility.

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)

Q: How much space do I need for a backyard basketball court?

A: A full high school court is roughly 50' x 84', but most backyards don't need that much. A standard half-court is 30' x 50', and a functional shooting key can fit in spaces as small as 25' x 25'. We specialize in custom half-court basketball design to fit your available footprint.

Q: Can you build a basketball court on a slope?

A: Yes. As licensed General Engineering Contractors, we specialize in excavation and retaining walls. We can grade your sloped yard to create a perfectly flat, structural pad for your court.

Q: Is a permit required to build a backyard court?

A: Often, yes. Permit requirements vary by city and county regarding impervious coverage and setbacks. We assist with the permitting process to ensure your project is compliant.

What Our Customers Say About Us:

“When an agent secures a listing on a home with a Game Court in it, I know they will have a much easier time finding a buyer for that house than a similar home with a swimming pool.”

- J.B. Goodwin, CEO/Broker, JBGoodwin Company

“I wanted to let you know how much we love our Game Court. At least one of our three kids uses it every day. I promise I'm not exaggerating – we use it every day.”

- Cindy and Lamar Slay

“The first night the court was completed, our entire family had a blast playing tennis and basketball and we realized how much 'together time' we had been missing.”

- Mac Pfeiffer

“My ability to continue to play through the joint pain, after so many years on concrete, was reaching the point of no return. Game Court gave me a second chance; and I am able even now at 65 to play two hours with no problems of any kind.”

- Howard Rubin

“I am writing to tell you how much our Game Court has meant to my family over the 14 years that we have had it. I have two boys, who early on, used the Game Court to learn to ride tricycles and bikes because we live on a steep hill and this provided the only flat surface. They learned to hit the baseball off a tee and to catch. Eventually, they learned to shoot baskets. They each have been excellent three-point shooters attributable solely to many hours they spent on the court.”

- Donde L. Plowman
