Residential Padel Courts Construction

Court Builders Northern California: Premier Padel Court Construction & Installation Experts.

TL;DR: The Ultimate Backyard Social Sport

Court Builders Northern California is the exclusive regional partner for InCourts Padel, bringing the world's fastest-growing sport to your backyard. Unlike loud pickleball courts, our panoramic glass padel courts are acoustically dampened and require 1/3 the space of a tennis court, making them perfect for residential lots. As a Class A Licensed General Engineering Contractor, we handle everything from the laser-leveled concrete foundation to the turnkey installation of European-engineered turf and lighting.

The Ultimate Backyard Upgrade: Private Padel Courts

Experience the "social sport" of the future with Northern California’s Only Certified Backyard Padel Court Builder and Class A Licensed General Engineering Contractor.

Padel is sweeping the globe, and for good reason. It combines the best elements of tennis and squash into a fast-paced, easy-to-learn game that is perfect for families. But until recently, finding a court in Northern California was nearly impossible.

Court Builders Northern California is changing that. As the exclusive regional partner for InCourts Padel, we bring authentic, European-engineered courts directly to your backyard. We combine this premium product with our status as a Class A Licensed General Engineering Contractor to handle every phase of construction—from the precision concrete foundation to the final glass installation.

Why Padel is Perfect for Your Backyard

For many Bay Area and Sacramento homeowners, a full-sized tennis court simply doesn't fit. Padel offers the perfect solution for maximizing limited real estate.

    • Space Efficiency: A Padel court is roughly one-third the size of a tennis court (approx. 66' x 33'). This means you can fit a championship-level facility in a standard backyard where a tennis court would never fit.
    • Acoustic Advantage: Unlike the loud "pop" of a pickleball paddle, Padel is played with a solid perforated racket and a depressurized ball. Combined with the acoustic dampening of the 12mm glass walls, Padel is significantly quieter—making it HOA and neighbor-friendly.
    • Year-Round Play: Our courts are designed with specialized drainage systems and galvanized steel structures that withstand Northern California’s wet winters, keeping you in the game when grass courts are soaked.

The "InCourts" Difference: European Engineering

We don't import cheap knock-offs. We specialize in authentic InCourts Padel installation, bringing European engineering to your home.

    • Panoramic Glass Walls: We use 12mm tempered safety glass that offers a seamless, "infinity" view of your landscape. Unlike standard framed courts, our Panoramic models remove the rear pillars for an unobstructed spectator experience.
    • Galvanized Steel Structure: Our frames are hot-dipped galvanized and powder-coated to prevent rust and corrosion, even in the salty air of coastal Marin or San Mateo counties.
    • Pro-Grade Turf: We install specialized monofilament turf that ensures consistent ball bounce and allows for the "sliding" movement advanced players love, while minimizing sand splash.

Our Turnkey Construction Process

Building a Padel court requires tighter tolerances than any other sport court. The glass walls must be perfectly plumb, or the ball will bounce unpredictably.

1. Site & Soil Engineering: We assess your yard's slope and soil stability to prevent future settling.

2. Laser-Level Concrete Ring Beam: We pour a reinforced concrete perimeter beam (or full slab) that is laser-leveled to within millimeters—critical for the glass installation.

3. Structural Assembly: Our certified crew erects the steel frame and installs the heavy 12mm glass panels using specialized suction equipment.

4. Turf & Sand Infill: We install the playing surface and mechanically brush in silica sand to stabilize the fibers and perfect the ball bounce.

5. LED Integration: We install flush-mounted LED stadium lights (standard with our courts) so your games can continue after sunset.

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)

Q: What are the exact dimensions of a residential Padel court?

A: A standard Padel court measures 20 meters long by 10 meters wide (approx. 65' 7" x 32' 9"). We generally recommend a total footprint of roughly 68' x 36' to allow for safe installation and player entry.

Q: Is Padel louder than Pickleball?

A: No. Padel is generally quieter. The ball is softer, the racket is solid (not hollow plastic), and the 10-foot high glass walls help contain the sound within the court. This makes it a much easier approval for strict HOAs.

Q: Do I need a permit to build a Padel court?

A: Yes. Because Padel courts involve structural steel and 10-foot high glass walls, they almost always require a building permit and engineering approval. As a Licensed General Engineering Contractor, we handle the entire permitting, engineering, and inspection process for you.

Q: Can I customize the colors?

A: Yes, we offer custom padel court design including frame colors and turf color options to match your home’s aesthetic—from sleek Black/Grey to nature-blending Green/Tan.

What Our Customers Say About Us:

“When an agent secures a listing on a home with a Game Court in it, I know they will have a much easier time finding a buyer for that house than a similar home with a swimming pool.”

- J.B. Goodwin, CEO/Broker, JBGoodwin Company

“I wanted to let you know how much we love our Game Court. At least one of our three kids uses it every day. I promise I'm not exaggerating – we use it every day.”

- Cindy and Lamar Slay

“The first night the court was completed, our entire family had a blast playing tennis and basketball and we realized how much 'together time' we had been missing.”

- Mac Pfeiffer

“My ability to continue to play through the joint pain, after so many years on concrete, was reaching the point of no return. Game Court gave me a second chance; and I am able even now at 65 to play two hours with no problems of any kind.”

- Howard Rubin

“I am writing to tell you how much our Game Court has meant to my family over the 14 years that we have had it. I have two boys, who early on, used the Game Court to learn to ride tricycles and bikes because we live on a steep hill and this provided the only flat surface. They learned to hit the baseball off a tee and to catch. Eventually, they learned to shoot baskets. They each have been excellent three-point shooters attributable solely to many hours they spent on the court.”

- Donde L. Plowman
